Glass Burnisher 8120-00
This glass burnisher is a handy tool when smoothing out the flesh side of your leather. For use with burnishing compound, simply drag the glass back and forth with pressure and burnish the leather to a smooth polished look.
Using the glass burnisher helps compress the grain side of leather after casing to create a more uniform surface for carving, dyeing, forming, or creasing. Simply case your leather normally and then drag the glass across the grain side of the leather. This action will compress the leather grain, thus providing for better cuts and for better uniform coverage of dyes and finishes. Also used by bookbinders to help form and crease their leather.
